Convert Old CS2 Crosshair Code
Paste a crosshair code from before the September 2026 update — or your old console commands — pick your resolution, and get the new code. The old and new crosshairs are drawn side by side so you can check them. Then fine-tune it in the crosshair generator.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my old crosshair code invalid?
CS2's Rush Hour update (September 2026) replaced the crosshair system. Codes made before it use the old layout, and the game answers "Invalid or old crosshair code". The settings inside are still readable, so this page decodes them and writes a new code.
Why do I need to pick my resolution?
Old sizes were measured against a 480-line screen; new ones are real pixels. Your old crosshair is scaled by (your screen height ÷ 480) — at 1080p that is ×2.25 — so the new one covers the same pixels you are used to. Pick the height you play at, stretched resolutions included (1280×960 is 960).
How is the gap converted?
The old gap was an offset from a built-in spacing; the new gap is counted in pixels from the centre. The new gap is half the (new) thickness, rounded down, plus the old gap + 4 rounded toward zero. A gap tighter than the new minimum becomes 0 and we tell you.
Which new style replaces my old one?
Classic Static and Default Static become Static Cross, Classic and Default become Dynamic Cross (Classic), Classic Dynamic becomes Dynamic Cross, and Legacy becomes Dynamic Cross (Legacy). Dynamic styles will not move exactly as before.
Can I paste console commands instead of a code?
Yes — paste cl_crosshairsize, cl_crosshairgap, cl_crosshairthickness and friends from an old autoexec.cfg or a pro's settings page, in any order.
