What is a CS2 Skin Inspector?
Our CS2 Skin Inspector reveals the hidden details of any Counter-Strike 2 skin before you buy it. Every skin has unique properties that aren't visible in standard marketplace listings.
Simply paste an inspect link from Steam Market, BUFF163, CS.MONEY, or any other marketplace, and we'll show you the skin's exact float value, paint seed, sticker positions, and a 3D preview.
Why it matters:Two "Factory New" skins can look completely different. A 0.001 float is pristine while a 0.069 float shows visible wear — but both are labeled "FN".
How to Use the CS2 Skin Inspector
On Steam Market, right-click "Inspect in Game" and copy the link. On third-party sites, look for an inspect button.

What is Float Value in CS2?
Float value (wear value) is a number between 0 and 1 that determines how worn a skin looks. Lower float = less wear = cleaner appearance.

Why it matters: A 0.070 FN looks almost identical to a 0.071 MW, but one is worth significantly more.
What is Paint Seed (Pattern Index) in CS2?
Paint seed (pattern index) is a number from 0 to 1000 that determines exactly how the skin's texture is positioned on the weapon.
Why it matters for certain skins:
- Case Hardened:Determines blue gem patterns — some seeds worth 10x+ more
- Fade: Affects fade percentage and color distribution
- Marble Fade:Controls Fire & Ice, Blue Dom patterns
- Slaughter: Determines diamond, heart, angel patterns
For most skins paint seed has minimal impact, but for pattern-based skins it can mean the difference between common and collector's item.
CS2 Sticker Inspection — Names, Positions & Wear
Our inspector shows exactly which stickers are applied and their condition:
- Sticker Name: The exact sticker applied
- Position: Which slot (1–4) the sticker is in
- Wear: How scratched the sticker is (0% = perfect)
This is crucial because sticker combinations can significantly increase value, especially with rare Katowice 2014, Titan Holos, or iBUYPOWER stickers.
