Browse CS2 Items by Type

Every tradable item in Counter-Strike 2 belongs to one of the categories below — weapon finishes, knives and gloves, the stickers and charms you put on them, the sealed containers they come out of, and the agents, music kits and collectibles that sit alongside them. Each category page carries the filters that category actually needs: finish and tournament for stickers, container type for cases, rarity tiers drawn from the items themselves rather than a fixed weapon-skin list.

How CS2 item types work

What are the item types in CS2?

CS2 items fall into a handful of families. Weapon finishes cover rifles, snipers, pistols, SMGs, shotguns and machine guns. Knives and gloves are separate, rarer categories with their own drop rules. Stickers, patches, charms and graffiti are applied on top of other items. Containers — weapon cases, souvenir packages, sticker and autograph capsules, patch packs, pins and music kit boxes — are the sealed items everything else drops out of, and keys open them. Agents, music kits, collectibles and tools make up the rest.

What is the difference between a case, a capsule and a package?

All three are "containers" in-game, which is why they are usually listed together. A weapon case holds skins and needs a matching key to open. A sticker or autograph capsule holds stickers and, for the older ones, needs a capsule key. A souvenir package comes from watching a Major, opens without a key, and drops a skin with tournament stickers already applied. The container page lets you filter these apart instead of scrolling through all of them at once.

Which item types hold their value best?

The categories with a fixed supply tend to hold value best: discontinued cases and capsules that no longer drop in-game, tournament stickers from early Majors (which are destroyed when applied or scraped), and operation-locked collectibles that stopped being earnable when their event ended. Actively dropping weapon skins face constant new supply, so their prices track demand far more closely.

Why do some categories show different rarity names?

Valve uses parallel rarity ladders. Weapon skins run Consumer, Industrial, Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, Covert. Stickers, patches and graffiti run High Grade, Remarkable, Exotic, Extraordinary. Agents run Distinguished, Exceptional, Superior, Master. Each category page shows its own ladder, drawn from the items actually in it, so the rarity filter always matches what you are looking at.

Can I filter within a category?

Yes. Every category page has a name search and a price range, plus filters specific to that category — finish and tournament on stickers, container type on cases, key type on keys, and the rarity tiers that category actually uses. Weapon categories additionally filter by model, colour and StatTrak.
