SteamAnalyst tracks 279 collections for Counter-Strike 2, each a curated set of finishes ranging from Consumer Grade to Covert rarity. Collections determine which skins can appear in trade-up contracts and are tied to specific cases, operations, maps, or Armory releases.
Case Collections — The most common type, tied to weapon cases like the Prisma Collection, Chroma Collection, and Gamma Collection. These skins drop when opening their respective cases with a key.
Map Collections — Skins themed around iconic maps such as Dust 2, Mirage, Inferno, and Nuke. Many classic map collections are no longer in the active drop pool and can only be obtained from the Steam Market and third-party marketplaces.
Operation & Terminal Collections — Released during special events, including operation passes and the newer Sealed Terminal format introduced with the Dead Hand Collection. These often feature community-designed skins and can include unique item types like gloves.
Sticker, Patch, Graffiti & Agent Sets — Not every collection is weapon finishes. Tournament sticker sets, sticker capsules, patch packs, graffiti boxes and operation agent sets are listed here too; use the kind pills above to browse one type at a time.
Use SteamAnalyst to compare skin prices across 40+ marketplaces, track price history, and identify investment opportunities across all CS2 collections.
Collections FAQ
What is a CS2 skin collection?
A collection is the set of finishes Valve releases and names together: the skins one weapon case drops, the drops from one map, the rewards of an operation, or an Armory set. Every skin belongs to a collection, and the collection is what decides which trade-up contracts a skin can enter and what it can turn into.
What is the difference between a case and a collection?
A case is the container you open; a collection is the set of skins that can come out of it — the Kilowatt Case drops the Kilowatt Collection. Map and Armory collections have no case at all: their skins arrive as in-game drops, Armory rewards or trade-up results, and otherwise only through the marketplaces.
How do collections affect trade-up contracts?
A trade-up takes ten skins of one rarity and returns a skin one tier higher, drawn from the collections of the skins you put in. Only a collection with a skin at the next tier can produce an outcome, and mixing collections changes the odds. Each collection page lists every skin by rarity, so you can see what a contract could return before you build it.
How many CS2 collections are there?
SteamAnalyst lists 279 collections with priced items: weapon collections from cases, maps, operations and the Armory, plus tournament sticker sets, sticker capsules, patch packs, graffiti boxes and agent sets. A new collection appears here once its items are priced.
Which collections no longer drop, and does that matter for prices?
Many older collections are out of the active drop pool — retired map collections such as Cobblestone and Cache, and collections that only dropped during a past operation. Their skins still trade on the Steam Community Market and third-party marketplaces, but no new copies are being created, which is why several of them hold some of the highest prices in the game.
How are the prices on each collection worked out?
Each card shows the cheapest and the most expensive item in the collection at its market-based price. Open a collection to compare every skin across 40+ marketplaces by wear, with StatTrak and Souvenir variants and 7-day price trends.
