💡 The biggest pricing mistake

Stickered skins aren't priced as base skin + sticker price. They're priced using Sticker Percentage (SP%), then adjusted for position, scrape condition, and craft desirability.

🏷️ What is Sticker Percentage (SP%)?

Sticker Percentage (SP%) is the portion of a sticker's market value that realistically transfers to a skin after it's applied. Stickers are liquid; crafts are not—so only part of the sticker's value carries over.

Sticker Value Added = Sticker Market Price × SP%
Estimated Craft Price = Base Skin Price + Sticker Value Added
Example: Base skin $50, Crown Foil ($350), SP% 5%
Sticker value: $350 × 5% = $17.50
Estimated craft price: $50 + $17.50 = $67.50
⚠️ Reality check

SP% is a market guideline, not a guarantee. Liquidity, aesthetics, sticker alignment, and buyer demand can move pricing up or down.

📊 Typical SP% ranges by sticker type

These ranges reflect how buyers typically price sticker transfer value. Position, scrape condition, and clean matching crafts can push prices above these bands.

Tournament Stickers

Sticker TypeTypical SP%Notes
Katowice 2014 Holo5–15%Collector-tier, best-position premiums are common
Katowice 2014 Non-Holo3–8%Strong demand, usually below holos
Katowice 2015 Holo2–5%Depends heavily on craft aesthetics
Cologne 2014 Holo2–5%Iconic event; value varies by team/logo
Major Holos (2015–2018)1–3%Good crafts can exceed range
Modern Major Holos (2019+)0.5–2%High supply; best-position matters most
Paper / Normal Tournament0.5–1.5%Usually priced for looks, not rarity

High-demand "Special" Stickers

StickerTypical SP%Notes
iBUYPOWER (Holo) Kato 148–15%Often priced like a collectible art piece
Titan (Holo) Kato 147–12%Best positions can command major premiums
Crown (Foil)3–8%High demand; clean crafts sell faster
Howling Dawn3–7%Strong identity sticker; placement matters
Reason (Holo) Kato 146–10%Collector-driven; combo quality matters
Flammable / Headhunter2–5%Depends on theme and visibility

📍 Sticker position matters more than people think

The same sticker can be worth 2× more (or less) depending on where it's placed. Buyers pay for what they can actually see in-game.

✅ Rule of thumb

Best position: 1.5× to 2.5× • Normal: 1.0× • Hidden/awkward: 0.5× to 0.8×

MagazineOn magazine0.7–0.9×
StockRear stock0.5–0.7×

🔍 Scrape condition: how much value is left?

Scraped stickers are priced like damaged collectibles. The more scraping, the smaller the buyer pool and the lower the transferable value.

ConditionApprox. Value RetentionWhat buyers expect
Unscraped (100%)100%Full value consideration
Light scrape (~80%)50–75%Some discount, still sellable
Medium scrape (~60%)25–50%Heavily negotiated pricing
Heavy scrape (~40%)10–25%Mostly "for looks" only
Nearly gone (<20%)0–10%Often treated as no-sticker

🔢 Multi-sticker crafts: diminishing returns is real

Multiple stickers aren't priced as "4× value." Buyers apply diminishing returns unless the craft is a clean matching set.

Diminishing returns guide

Sticker CountTypical AdjustmentWhy
1 sticker100%Clean and easy to value
2 stickers~80–90% eachMore niche, slower resale
3 stickers~60–75% eachDemand drops unless craft is iconic
4 stickers~50–70% eachOnly top combos keep strong transfer value

Exception: 4× matching premium

  • 4× same holo: often +30–50% craft premium (overall)
  • 4× same non-holo: often +20–35% craft premium (overall)
  • Mixed/random set: often discounted because it's harder to resell

🏆 Katowice 2014 pricing: why it's different

Kato 14 crafts behave like collector items. Rarity, story, visibility, and the skin/sticker pairing can matter as much as the math. Two crafts with the same sticker can sell at wildly different SP% depending on aesthetics and position.

💡 Collector market behavior

High-end Kato 14 holos can take time to sell. Best-position, clean crafts can command premiums, but liquidity is lower than common crafts.

🧮 Examples buyers actually use

Example 1: Standard craft

Base skin $50 + sticker $350 at 5% SP%
Sticker value added: $350 × 5% = $17.50
Estimated craft price: $50 + $17.50 = $67.50

Example 2: Best-position premium

Same sticker, best position with 2× multiplier
Effective SP%: 5% × 2 = 10%
Sticker value added: $350 × 10% = $35.00
Estimated craft price: $50 + $35.00 = $85.00

Example 3: Scrape discount

Effective SP% reduced by heavy scrape (40% retention)
Effective SP%: 10% × 0.4 = 4%
Sticker value added: $350 × 4% = $14.00
Estimated craft price: $50 + $14.00 = $64.00

📋 Buying & selling checklist

Buying stickered skins

  • Inspect for scrapes — confirm condition visually
  • Confirm best-position — scope/wood/visible placements command premiums
  • Prefer clean matching crafts — easier resale, better liquidity
  • Avoid ugly mixes — often discounted and slow to sell

Selling stickered skins

  • Describe accurately — sticker, position, and scrape condition
  • Show visibility — best position should be obvious in screenshots/inspect
  • Be patient — niche crafts can take time to sell
  • List broadly — more marketplaces = better buyer reach
⚠️ Don't oversell your SP%

If you claim unrealistic SP% without matching position/condition/aesthetics, experienced buyers will ignore the listing. Transparency sells faster.

❓ Quick FAQ

What's a "good" SP% in CS2?

High-end stickers like Katowice 2014 Holos can reach 8–15%, while modern major holos are often 0.5–2%. The better the position and the cleaner the craft, the higher the effective SP%.

Does sticker position really double value?

Often, yes. Classic examples are AWP scope and AK wood, where visibility is high and demand is strongest.

Are scraped stickers worth anything?

Sometimes — but value drops quickly. Heavy scrapes can reduce transferable sticker value down to 10–25% (or less) of what an unscraped sticker would add.

Do 4× crafts always add value?

Only if they're matching and clean. Random mixes often reduce value because the buyer pool shrinks and resale becomes harder.
