🏅 What Are Souvenir Skins?
Souvenir skins are special commemorative weapon skins dropped to viewers during CS2 Major Championships. They feature unique gold tournament stickers that identify the specific match, teams, and tournament where they were dropped — making each one a piece of CS esports history.
Souvenir skins cannot be unboxed from cases. Historically they could only be obtained from Souvenir Packages that drop randomly to viewers watching Major matches. Since the May 2026 update, they can also be crafted from regular skins with the Souvenir-O-Matic (see below). Tournament-specific stickers still make each souvenir a distinct collectible within the CS2 economy — and package-dropped souvenirs from older tournaments remain permanently supply-capped.
📦 How Souvenir Drops Work
The Drop Process
- Viewer watches a Major match on an eligible platform (linked Steam account required)
- Random drops occur throughout the match — Souvenir Packages are distributed to random viewers
- Each package corresponds to the specific match being played when it dropped
- The package contains a random skin from the map collection being played
- The skin comes with pre-applied gold tournament stickers
What's on a Souvenir Skin
Every souvenir skin has three or four gold stickers pre-applied:
| Sticker Position | Content |
|---|---|
| Tournament sticker | The Major event logo in gold |
| Team 1 sticker | First team's logo in gold |
| Team 2 sticker | Second team's logo in gold |
| MVP signature | Gold autograph of the round's MVP player |
🛠️ Souvenir-O-Matic — Crafting Your Own Souvenir
The May 2026 update introduced the Souvenir-O-Matic, which lets you convert an eligible non-StatTrak weapon skin from your inventory into a souvenir tied to a completed match of the current tournament (starting with IEM Cologne 2026). You pick the match and the player autograph, and the skin receives four gold stickers: two team logos, one player autograph, and a map sticker exclusive to souvenir crafting.
How It Works
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Eligible skins | Non-StatTrak weapon skins — StatTrak is incompatible |
| Cost | Tokens from the Major Shop or Pick'Em coin upgrades; price scales with team/player popularity and skin rarity |
| Existing stickers | Removed as part of the conversion |
| Reversible? | No — the conversion is permanent and the gold stickers cannot be removed |
Collector's note: crafted souvenirs are tied to current tournaments only. Package-dropped souvenirs from older Majors — and anything from discontinued collections like Cobblestone — cannot be recreated with the Souvenir-O-Matic, so their scarcity premium is unaffected.
⭐ MVP Signatures
The MVP signature is often the most important value factor for souvenir skins. A souvenir from a famous player's MVP round carries significant premium.

❓ FAQ
How do I get souvenir drops?
Link your Steam account to the platform broadcasting the Major (usually Steam.tv or partner platforms). Watch matches — drops are distributed randomly to viewers. Drop rates are low and there's no guaranteed way to receive one. Since May 2026 you can also craft a souvenir directly with the Souvenir-O-Matic using Major Shop or Pick'Em tokens.
Can I craft my own souvenir skin?
Yes. The Souvenir-O-Matic (added May 2026) converts an eligible non-StatTrak skin into a souvenir tied to a completed match of the current tournament, with two gold team stickers, a player autograph of your choice, and a craft-exclusive map sticker. The conversion costs tokens, removes any existing stickers, and is permanent.
Can souvenir skins be used in trade-up contracts?
Yes, since the May 2026 update — but they lose all souvenir attributes and count as one rarity higher than the other inputs, and the output is always a normal skin. A trade-up can never produce a souvenir.
Can I remove souvenir stickers?
Technically yes, but never do this — removing the gold tournament stickers destroys the souvenir's identity and value. A souvenir skin without its stickers is essentially a regular skin worth a fraction of its souvenir value.
Are older souvenirs more valuable?
Generally yes. Older tournament souvenirs (Katowice 2014, DreamHack 2014, etc.) are rarer and carry historical significance. Discontinued collections (Cobblestone) add another layer of scarcity.
Can souvenir skins be StatTrak?
No. Souvenir skins never come with StatTrak. This is a fundamental distinction — a skin cannot be both Souvenir and StatTrak.
