CS2 Skin Collections Guide
Counter-Strike 2 features over 216 skin collections, each containing a curated set of weapon finishes ranging from Consumer Grade to Covert rarity. Collections determine which skins can appear in trade-up contracts and are tied to specific cases, operations, or map drops.
Case Collections — The most common type, tied to weapon cases like the Prisma Collection, Chroma Collection, and Gamma Collection. These skins drop when opening their respective cases with a key.
Map Collections — Skins themed around iconic maps such as Dust 2, Mirage, Inferno, and Nuke. Many classic map collections are no longer in the active drop pool and can only be obtained from the Steam Market.
Operation & Terminal Collections — Released during special events, including operation passes and the newer Sealed Terminal format introduced with the Dead Hand Collection. These often feature community-designed skins and can include unique item types like gloves.
